Family Law
Family law forms the principal focus of Daisy's practice. She accepts instructions in private and public law children proceedings, financial remedies and applications arising from domestic abuse.
Daisy is a confident and persuasive advocate who quickly identifies the central issues in a case and presents her clients' positions with clarity and conviction. Her previous experience as a paralegal, together with her substantial courtroom advocacy experience, has provided a strong practical foundation and an understanding of the demands of family litigation.
Private Children Law
Daisy represents parents and other family members in disputes concerning arrangements for children, including applications for child arrangements orders, prohibited steps orders and specific issue orders.
She understands that proceedings involving children can be particularly challenging for families. Daisy combines determined advocacy with sensitivity to the circumstances of those she represents, providing clear advice and ensuring that her clients' concerns are properly understood and effectively presented.
Public Children Law
Daisy welcomes instructions in public law children proceedings, including care and supervision proceedings.
She appreciates the significance of decisions affecting children and families and the importance of careful preparation, sound judgement and effective advocacy where safeguarding and welfare concerns arise.
Matrimonial Finance
Daisy is keen to develop her financial remedy practice and accepts instructions in financial proceedings arising from divorce and separation.
She has a particular interest in the financial and property issues that arise following relationship breakdown, drawing on her wider interest in civil litigation, trusts and property law.
Her analytical approach enables her to identify the key issues in financial disputes and provide practical, focused advice aimed at achieving proportionate outcomes.
Domestic Abuse
Daisy accepts instructions in applications for non-molestation and occupation orders.
Her previous experience working on injunction applications as a paralegal has given her an appreciation of the urgency and sensitivity often involved in these proceedings. She combines firm advocacy with a calm and reassuring manner, particularly when representing clients who may be unfamiliar with the court process.
TOLATA & Property Disputes
Daisy has a particular interest in disputes concerning property ownership, especially those arising following the breakdown of relationships.
She accepts instructions in matters involving the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA), including disputes over beneficial interests in property, declarations of trust, disagreements between co-owners and applications for orders for sale.
This area complements her family law practice, allowing Daisy to bring an understanding of both the legal and personal issues that arise when relationships end and property interests are disputed.
Daisy is a strong and incisive advocate who approaches her cases with determination, thorough preparation and a clear understanding of what she wants to achieve.
Bright and quick-thinking, she is able to grasp complex issues, identify the important points and present arguments with confidence and precision. She is purposeful in her advocacy but equally understands the importance of listening carefully to clients and appreciating the circumstances that have brought them to court.
Daisy combines a direct and focused approach with warmth, empathy and a genuine commitment to those she represents. She works closely with instructing solicitors, providing clear communication, practical advice and reliable support throughout proceedings.
Civil Litigation, Wills, Trusts & Probate
Alongside her family practice, Daisy accepts instructions in civil litigation, with a particular interest in property disputes, wills, trusts and probate matters. Her previous courtroom advocacy experience has provided a strong practical foundation in litigation, enabling her to approach cases with confidence, careful preparation and a clear understanding of the issues involved.
Daisy welcomes instructions in contested hearings, interim applications and disputes concerning wills, inheritance, trusts and the administration of estates. She brings an analytical and determined approach to her work, whilst appreciating the sensitive personal and family circumstances that often underpin these disputes.
