David is one of the most experienced employment law practitioners on the Western Circuit. He has over 30 years experience of employment litigation both in the Employment Tribunal and the Civil Courts.
He regularly advises both professional and direct access clients on pre-litigation issues such as dispute resolution, grievance, disciplinary or redundancy procedures.
He represents both claimants and respondents in cases involving unfair/wrongful dismissal, protected disclosure, Working Time Regulations, pay disputes and T.U.P.E cases. He has extensive experience of all areas of discrimination litigation under the Equality Act 2010 and in particular specialising in cases of disability discrimination.
He is regularly instructed by insurance companies to provide advice on the merits, evidence or the procedural aspects of a claim. He prides himself on a quick turnaround of paperwork with thorough and practical advice set out in a clear format.
He gives seminars and writes articles on all areas of employment law.
He is the author of Employment Claims Without a Lawyer – a Handbook for Litigants in person.
He is a member of the Bar Pro Unit and provides monthly advice sessions at the Avon and Bristol Law Centre.

Personal Injury - Areas of work include cases under Highways Act, Occupiers Liability Act, Workplace Regulations, road traffic accidents, employer’s liability including repetitive strain injury, V.W.F. and noise-induced hearing loss, consumer protection and package holiday cases.
Areas of work include a wide variety of slipping and tripping cases under the Highways Act 1980, the Workplace Regulations and the Occupiers Liability Act 1957. Road traffic accidents. Package holiday and Product Liability cases. David has extensive experience of work-related litigation in particular industrial disease cases such as Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, Repetitive Strain Injury and Noise-Induced Hearing Loss cases.
